What an unforgettable day! On May 10, 2025, I had the pleasure of DJing for Emily Miller and Ryan Thomas at The Faulkner in Jackson, MS. Despite the rain, it was truly a day full of love, joy, and laughter. I was thrilled to be a part of this beautiful couple’s wedding and to work alongside some of the best vendors in the business.
How It All Came Together
This opportunity came through my brother DJ Kujho, who has always been a fantastic friend and business partner. Interestingly, the wedding was on the same day as his oldest daughter's graduation, so he had to pass this gig along. I decided to bring along DJ Currie, who’s been a great mentee of mine, to tag-team the event and help make sure the evening ran smoothly. Mentoring is one of my passions, and it felt great to pass on knowledge to the next generation of DJs.
The Couple: Emily & Ryan
Emily and Ryan’s wedding website said it best: "A hinge success story." After meeting through "the dating app designed to be deleted," their love blossomed into something beautiful, and it was clear that their bond was one to be celebrated. Their wedding day was a beautiful reflection of that love—full of energy, joy, and a deep sense of connection.
Rainy Day, Beautiful Moments
Though the rain made multiple appearances, it didn’t stop the energy of the day! I’ve always said that rain on a wedding day brings good luck, and for Emily and Ryan, that proved true. The Faulkner, with its grand architecture, was a perfect setting to host this beautiful celebration. The rain may have been a surprise, but the love and joy inside the venue made up for it, and nothing could dampen the spirits of this amazing couple and their guests.

The reception was absolutely electric. From the first dance to the final song, Emily and Ryan’s wedding was filled with energy, love, and laughter. The crowd was up and dancing all night long, and we made sure to keep the party going with a great mix of songs. It’s always an honor to be the one to create that atmosphere, and I’m so grateful for the chance to be a part of this couple’s special day.
DJ Currie and I worked hand in hand to make sure every moment—from the intros, to the special dances, to the party—was absolutely perfect. It was a great opportunity to tag-team with a fellow DJ and mentor and to share that experience with Emily, Ryan, and their guests.

Looking back, I am so grateful to have been a part of Emily and Ryan’s big day. Weddings are more than just a celebration of two people coming together—they’re about the people, the relationships, and the shared experiences.
